With the busy-ness and stress that so many of us have in our daily lives, this workshop, although producing beautiful pieces of art, is less about the product and more about the process. Being meditative and mindful is about being present in the moment, and as a result, becoming more relaxed and more aware of yourself and what you are creating. The journey of mindfully producing art drop by drop, while watching the liquid watercolors expand and blend on a water-soaked page, is an elegantly simple process that is soothing and de-stressing. As peaceful music plays in the background, the process gives us time for reflecting, relaxing, and quieting the mind of our racing thoughts. Learning and practicing a meditative technique like this can assist us in becoming more focused and centered in our everyday lives. Students will have two to three beautiful pieces to take home!
