Wax Carving: Sculptures, Trinkets and Jewelry!!!
Instructor:
Jennifer Salta
SKU: 173-3109B
Price: $230.00

Bring your creations to life with the ancient art of wax carving and sculpture. In this class you will learn to use wax carving to create small scale sculptures and jewelry. Wax carving is the perfect way to achieve organic textures and movement in your cast jewelry or small-scale sculpture that is otherwise not possible in metalsmithing. You will receive one on one attention with a professional wax model maker whose work can be found in Urban Outfitters and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. All students will be offered the opportunity to have their finished carvings cast at a local commercial casting house in either sterling silver, brass, or bronze. Students will then learn how to properly finish their casting in class. Students should come to class prepared with tools and a design or a project in mind. Please call for full class tool list.
