Our second class in the series is Adobe Illustrator. Illustrator is an amazing application for creating precise, detailed and scalable vector illustrations for print, logo design, textiles, web sites and more. Illustrator can also be used to produce more traditional looking art such as pencil sketches and ink drawings. Class will cover basics like anchor points, line segments, paths, shapes, and blends, as well as essential features such as tools, palettes, selection tools, drawing tools, pen and pencil tools, layers, transformations/distortions, and type tools. And you’ll learn this challenging application through the creation of simple illustrations, leading up to and including corporate logo design and graphic design projects such as posters, informational graphics, packaging design and much, much more.
