Patricia Shih
SKU: 202-0022P3
Price: $180.00

Students will learn to draw the human face, first in black and white (charcoal, pencil), then in color (pastels) from a photo. Ms. Shih's method combines techniques from Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain (Betty Edwards) with those from Instructor’s own training and experience. Objective is to learn to see value, shape, proportion, placement, and then hue; ultimate goal is for students to capture an excellent likeness of the subject.

Bring to first class: sketch pad (smooth tooth, 12"x16" or slightly larger), #2 pencil, soft vine charcoal about 3/16" thick (or a variety of thicknesses), kneaded eraser, white pencil, two transparent rulers, scissors and smudge tools. All levels welcome.
