Learn basic techniques of producing print material utilizing Adobe InDesign from a professional graphic designer! InDesign is one of the most powerful layout programs for professional desktop publishers and graphic designers. Just as Photoshop is the standard for image processing, InDesign is the standard for creating page layouts. In this in-depth, hands on, beginners "foundation" class students will learn how to create and layout pages for books, flyers, posters, magazines, ads and more. We’ll start you out from the beginning by laying out pages, styling text, and importing photos. You’ll learn how to add colors, multiple pages, thread text frames, and much more. We also explain how to package your files to send them to be printed, as well as how to create PDFs for print or web. This class will give you the basics on which you can further develop your skills to become proficient at using this powerful layout program. Our computer lab accommodates six students at a time, therefore all computer classes offer an intimate and personal learning experience. Students wishing to save their work should bring a USB flash drive.
