Learn basic techniques of producing digital art work utilizing Adobe Photoshop from a professional digital illustrator! Photoshop is one of the main tools for the digital painter and illustrator. This exciting medium is currently being used to produce stunning works of fine art, as well as cartoons, illustrations, children's books and much more. This in-depth, hands on, beginners ""foundation"" class will cover essential features such as canvas size, resolution, painting tools, brushes, brush creation, mixer brush, smudge tool, color, important shortcuts, navigating, image size and resolution, color modes, layers, selections, undoing mistakes, gradients, printing, digital sketching, photographic painting, and much, much more. Basic concepts will be discussed and demonstrated with plenty of hands on instruction. During class students will work from a small still life to create their first painting. This is a beginner class, no previous experience required. Class will explore digital pen and ink, watercolor, oil and acrylic techniques! Drawing skills helpful but not necessary.
