"Unwind and get creative! Learn how to elevate your work on the potter’s wheel to a whole new level. Lidded forms, bowls, teapots and pitchers will be demonstrated as well as adding texture to wheel forms and creating forms in sections “off the hump”. Hand builders will learn to work with soft and hard slabs. Projects such as box forms, cylinder projects and tabletop fountains will be part of our projects time permitting. Learn to create plaster molds and how to enhance hand built projects with paper clay. Students will be introduced to our gas kiln and the incredible history of pottery on Long Island dating back to 1800.
Bring an apron, towel, notebook, and clay tools.
